Company History
Established in 1961 by Ken Monnin, Dayton Door Sales has grown from its modest beginnings to become the region’s recognized door industry experts. Ken is now semi–retired but remains the company’s CEO to ensure that the basic principles of customer service he employed 48 years ago continue to guide the company’s policies. Following Ken’s example, our loyal and skilled employees perform superior work and assist clients in all their door needs.

Operations established in Troy to serve the Northern Miami Valley. It now operates as Overhead Door Company of Troy / Piqua |
1986 |
Company celebrates its 25th anniversary |
1984 |
First mainframe computer is purchased |
1981 |
Expanded product line to include entry doors and other home improvement products |
1980 |
Current office and showroom is completed attached to the recently completed warehouse |
1979 |
Operations established to serve Butler and Warren counties and surrounding area. It is introduced as Middletown Door Sales and now operates as Overhead Door Company of Springboro / Middletown |
1977 |
An all new 18,000 sq ft warehouse facility is built (our current warehouse). |
1976 |
Company establishes our Springfield, OH branch, Overhead Door Co. of Springfield |
1974 |
Company acquires the rights to distribute the “Overhead Door” brand product, the same brand we distribute today. We continue to be the only authorized dealer in the Dayton area. |
1973 |
Dayton Door Sales is named the “largest dealer in Ohio” for Genie garage door openers 2,000 sq ft warehouse addition is completed |
1968 |
Company moved into a new 6,500 sq ft office and warehouse building on Springfield Street |
